This is a nice all original NY ’01 – ’10 prestate license plate.  From 1901 through early 1910, New York motorists were required to supply their own license plates bearing the registration number issued by the State.  This handmade leather plate is an example of those pioneer plates.  This number was issued in 1906.  Grades G by ALPCA and MLPCA standards. COMBINED SHIPPING: Up to seven plates (sometimes more) that are 14 inches long or less will ship for the same cost.  For purchases of more than seven plates and for plates longer than 14 inches, add 50 cents ($1.00 for porcelain plates and plates from New Jersey and Maryland) per plate to the priority rate.
